Terapagos’s true form unleashes a powerful attack
Terapagos not only blocks Rayquaza’s attacks, but can also perform an attack of its own– its signature move in the game, Starstorm Tera, eliminating many of the smaller projectiles created by Rayquaza’s Draco Meteor. However, it only has the power for one attack and quickly returns to its small form. Luckily, Rayquaza seems to have come to respect Terapagos’ power and decided to leave, no longer interested now that it is untransformed. This is important to remember Rayquaza and Terapagos are both allies of Luciusand already has some existing relationships, as Terapagos has with other members of the Six Heroes.
In the episode, Diana (Liko’s grandmother) speculates that Terapagos is regaining its strength through the gathering of the Six Heroes, who have similar energy signatures. Given that Terapagos was inactive in pendant form until recently, it’s no surprise that it has virtually no transformation abilities, but the implication seems to be that Terapagos will be able to take on its true form long term. more than once all of Lucius’ ancient Pokémon had been transformed. have gathered. Rayquaza may have even been testing Terapagos in some way, aiming to see how much of its former power it had regained.
Terapagos’ power comes at a price
After transforming, Terapagos was helpless for most of the next day, although it eventually woke up and recovered after eating some berries. Terapagos’ power is certainly not yet at a level where it can be relied upon, but it clearly possesses an incredible amount of power when transformed, which may be necessary when it comes time to recruit Rayquaza. The anime version of Terapagos appears to have a very different past than its video game counterpart, and it’s unknown what connection, if any, it may have to Paldea’s Area Zero. Pokémon Horizon has established its own Terapagos storyline, and Terapagos’ transformation is the first big step toward uncovering Pokémon’s mysterious past.
Pokemon
Summary: Spanning over 25 years, Pokemon, also known as Pocket Monsters in Japan, is a multimedia franchise co-created by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. Conceptualized by Satoshi Tajiri in conjunction with Ken Sugimori and Junichi Masuda, Pokemon is set in a fictional world where humans live alongside tameable creatures called Pokemon. People who catch, raise, and battle these creatures are called Pokemon Trainers. They embark on cross-continental journeys to raise their Pokemon with the ultimate goal of competing in tournaments to become champions. Pokemon spans a massive range of properties, from a long-running animated series to a successful card game to the medium that started it all, the video game. Additionally, Pokemon started the “two games” trend, where two versions of a game would release and include different Pokemon/features between versions, encouraging players to meet others and trade so they can “catch them all.”
