Warning: Spoilers for Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War, Part 2
Summary
Uryu’s new scene in season 3 of Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War showcases the anime original battle against Squad Zero’s Senjumaru Shutara. Since the scene where Senjumaru uses his Bankai against Uryu in part 2 is not in the manga, it is clear that the story will take a turn to explain the following scenes. Uryu’s new fight scene could give him a chance to show off his new Schrift ability, The Antithesis, and provide more insight into Senjumaru’s Bankai.
New trailer for Bleach: The thousand-year blood war Part 3 was revealed at Jump Festa this weekend, and some accompanying scenes showcase the anime-original battle for Uryu. Uryu’s new scene sees him facing off against Squad Zero’s Senjumaru Shutara, who used his never-before-seen Bankai against Uryu in the climactic moments of season 2.
At the end of part 2, Senjumaru used his Bankai against Yhwach’s elite guardian (and Uryu), creating pocket dimensions where each would receive a separate punishment for the crime of invading the Palace. by Soul King. The scene itself never happened in the manga, so it’s clear that the story would have to diverge somewhat to explain the following scenes.
Uryu in particular, due to his status as a “traitor” to Ichigo and the Soul Society, has more story ahead, so manga-savvy fans will wonder how he can escape Bankai by Senjumaru.
New footage of Uryu could show off his ultimate power
So a new fight scene between Uryu and Senjumaru seems very likely, and The trailer confirmed this by showing Uryu in Bankai’s pocket dimension, fighting back in a way he didn’t in part 2.. Due to the overwhelming power of Senjumaru’s Bankai, many fans immediately began speculating on what Uryu could do to escape. In the anime, Uryu never really got a chance to show off his new Schrift skill, The Antigation, and basically just used it to free Yhwach from Squad Zero’s trap. This new fight could give Uryu a chance to really show off what The Antithesis can do.
Despite being an important character in this storyline as the Quincy, Uryu has been somewhat sidelined so far, with very few scenes focusing on him, so fans of the character will certainly be happy to know that Uryu will be the focus of the new scenes. Such a scene would not only reveal more about his powers, but could also give a little more insight into Senjumaru’s Bankai. Besides this war, The trailer also teases the appearance of some long-awaited characters, like Grimmjow, as well as the appearance of Ichigo and his friends. at the Soul King’s Palace.
Season 3 of The Thousand Year Blood War is said to have quite a few new original anime scenes like this, so there will likely be some significant differences from the manga’s plot. Given that the manga’s Thousand-Year Blood War finale was poorly received, this could be a very good thing, especially since the studio is working directly with series creator Tite Kubo for additional material . The pacing may slow down a bit to incorporate this new content, which may also be for the best, as the Millennium Blood War anime is moving at an incredible pace. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t provide a date Bleach: The thousand-year blood wars return, so fans will have to wait for more information on when this fight will take place.
