Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card released its final chapter in Nakayoshi magazine on December 1. The manga will receive a “Special Section” in the April 2024 issue of the magazine, releasing on March 1. Cardcaptor Sakura : Clear Card has been serialized since 2016 and is a sequel to CLAMP’s other work, Cardcaptor Sakura. IT received an anime adaptation in 2018.
Clamp of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear card is set to receive one “Special arc” after the end. The final chapter of the manga was published on December 1 in the January 2024 issue of Nakayoshi magazine. A few weeks before that, the 15th volume of the series was released in Japan, while the 14th volume was released in English-speaking territories.
CLAMP announced on their official X account (formerly Twitter) on November 30 that a “Special Section” will be published in the April 2024 issue of Nakayoshi magazine. They did not provide any details other than the expected release date of March 1.
This announcement follows news regarding CLAMP’s exhibition to be held in Tokyo from July 3 to September 23, 2024.
The sequel to Cardcaptor Sakura takes place after the events of the original Manga
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card is a direct sequel to the hit manga and is scheduled to end in 2022
The story begins after Sakura Kinomoto captures the Clow Cards and turns them into Sakura Cards. Now she is starting her first day of middle school with her friends, including Shaoran Li, who has transferred back to Tomoeda. One night, she had a prophetic dream in which she met a mysterious cloaked figure. When she woke up, she found all of her Sakura cards had become transparent and was completely powerless. Thus begins Sakura’s adventure to find a way to recover the cards, this time as the master of the Clow cards and joined by new friends.
The manga has been airing since 2016 as a continuation of the beloved classic of the magical girl genre, Cardcaptor Sakura. In 2018, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card received an anime adaptation in 2018 and will continue to have a sequel whose release date has not yet been announced. In 2022, the series’ official X (formerly Twitter) account announced that the manga’s 14th volume would be its last. CLAMP later took to social media to announce another episode. However, six months after the post, they once again announced that the series would be extended for another final episode. The final chapter release date was confirmed just days before its release in the magazine.

Both Cardcaptor Sakura and its sequel were serialized in Nakayoshi, one of the best-selling shojo magazines in Japan. This magazine has published other famous titles in the past such as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. It is published by Kodansha, Japan’s largest publishing company. CLAMP is an all-female group of Japanese manga artists, consisting of one writer and three artists, who are the creators of some of the most successful shoujo and magical girl manga ever, such as such as X (1992), Magic Knight Rayearth (1993), and xxxHolic and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle (both 2003). There is currently no information about episode 15 of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear card There will be an English version, but it’s safe to say it won’t come out before next year.
