In the latest issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, it was announced that Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura’s Blue Lock manga will be on a short hiatus.
This short vacation is said to be due to Nomura’s health concerns. The series is expected to return in the upcoming 49th issue, scheduled for release on November 8, once Nomura has fully recovered.

Kodansha USA Publishing has been actively releasing the original BLUELOCK manga in both digital and print formats in English. The story opens after a disastrous loss at the 2018 World Cup, leaving the Japanese national team in turmoil. Their missing piece? A top Ace Striker, capable of leading them to victory.
Japanese Football Union is determined to train a striker with an insatiable desire for goals and a relentless desire to win, someone who can become a key driving force to turn around losses.
To achieve this, they have gathered 300 of Japan’s most talented young players. The story delves into their journey to determine who will become the leader of the team and whether they can outshine and outshine everyone who stands in their way.
Kaneshiro and Nomura originally launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2018. Kodansha released the manga’s 26th compiled volume on September 14.
The BLUELOCK anime series debuted in Japan in October 2022, with Crunchyroll offering streaming options for both subtitled and dubbed versions.
