The official website for the anime adaptation of Fuse and Mitz Vah’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) light novel series announced on Saturday the opening animation for the three episodes. That Time I Got Reincarnated as an Anime Slime: Coleus’Dream (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Coleus no Yume). The video uses the opening theme song “Hikari Hanatsu” by Takuma Terashima, who also voices Satoru and has performed previous theme songs:

The anime will premiere in Japan on Wednesday with all three episodes. Crunchyroll will stream the series in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East, and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. EDT .

Rimuru has saved the children he was teaching in the Kingdom of Engrassia, and his time as a teacher is about to end. Then Yuuki, Grandmaster of the Freedom Alliance, asked him to go to the end of the race for the throne in the Kingdom of Coleus, located between Engrassia and the Holy Empire of Lubelius. So, Rimuru infiltrates Coleus under the name “Satoru”, and he finds a nation that is not only dependent on a war of succession but also a web of plots woven by demons and vampires should!
Atsushi Nakayama returns as director for the anime at 8-Bit. Toshizo Nemoto (Macross Delta, Super Cub) is in charge of compiling the series. Ryōma Ebata is again designing the characters and Takahiro Kishida is again in charge of the monster designs. Hitoshi Fujima (Elements Garden) returned from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond to compose the music.
Miho Okasaki, who voices Rimuru, will perform the anime’s ending theme song.
Coleus no Yume is a text story included in a bonus booklet included with the Blu-ray Disc release of the second season That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. It became the main inspiration for the story of the film Scarlet Bond. The epic story is set between the first two television seasons as Rimuru faces conspiracies surrounding the Kingdom of Coleus.

Fuse serialized the story on the website”Shōsetsuka ni Narō”(Become a Novelist) from 2013 to 2016, and the series has since attracted more than 400 million page views. Micro Magazine began publishing the series in print in 2014. The novel entered its 18th volume in March 2021. Fuse has previously announced that he is considering writing the series. spinoffs after the current series is completed. Fuse plans to end the series with the 22nd volume. Yen Press publishes the novels in English.
The first television anime based on Taiki Kawakami’s manga, itself an adaptation of the light novel series, premiered in October 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the anime and Funimation streamed the English dub.
The second television anime season premiered its first part (quarter year) in January 2021. Television anime from Shiba’s spin-off manga The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura Nikki Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) later premiered on Tokyo MX in April 2021. After The Slime Diaries ended, the second season of the second season began in July 2021 — for nine consecutive months of anime television shows from the series movie that year.
Both Funimation and Crunchyroll are streaming the second season. Funimation also streamed the English dub.
The latest film in the series titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds) was released in Japan in November 2022.
