YouTube channel Gintama has released the trailer for the upcoming Gintama on Theater 2D: Thorny Arc, an edited theatrical release of the series’Thorny Arc that will include bonus footage.
Gintama on Theater 2D: Thorny Arc will open in Japan on November 10 and run for three weeks.

The comedy (and sometimes action) anime series Gintama debuted in 2006 and ran until 2018 for four seasons, with the Gritty Season covering Episodes 244 to 247 of the entire series. There are also several anime movies, including 2021’s Gintama THE FINAL. Tomokazu Sugita voices the main character Gintoki Sakata.
The manga is published by Shueisha Hideaki Sorachi inspired the anime that began in 2004 and released the 77th and final tankoubon volume in 2019. Most of the manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, with some later chapters published in Jump GIGA in 2019. The ending chapters are released through the Gintama app. 23 volumes have been published in English by Viz Media.
