Super Dragon Ball is the long-awaited sequel to the always popular Dragon Ball Z, with the return of the late, great Akira Toriyama to the series. While most of the fan-favorite characters from Z reappear in Super, The series also introduces many powerful new characters, from fellow Saiyans to literal gods..
Many Dragon Ball Super New characters have continued to find huge fan bases of their own, with some characters being almost as popular as classic characters like Goku and Trunks. These warriors also have plenty of opportunities to show off their power throughout the series, especially with the Tournament of Power at the end of the series, which sees the best warriors from across the multiverse. universe compete in their cosmic battle for survival. Here are the 10 strongest characters introduced in Dragon Ball Super, including related movies.
10 female Saiyans have proven that Caulifla can be as tough as Goku
First appearance: “Gohan and Piccolo! Master and student clash in Max Training!”
Caulifla is a female Saiyan from Universe 6, and the first female Saiyan in the series to reach Super Saiyan. She was a troubled and chaotic gang leader in their homeworld of Planet Sadala, and knew how to settle a war long before the Tournament of Power. She was recruited to fight on the Universe 6 team by fellow Saiyan Cabba, who considered her perhaps the strongest Saiyan in their universe.
Caulifla learned the secret of Super Saiyan in just a few minutes and managed to unlock Super Saiyan 2 herself during the Tournament. Goku was quite impressed by her natural talent and couldn't help but give a few suggestions as they fought. Caulifla is rarely seen without her “sworn sister” Kale, and the two go on to merge into the fusion warrior Kefla, whose power is on another level.
9 Kale's meek personality hides incredible strength
First appearance: “A mysterious beauty appears! The mystery of the Tien Shin style dojo?”
Kale is another female Saiyan from Universe 6 and Caulifla's close friend. While Kale has a quiet and meek personality, her rage can exert incredible power. Believed to be the latest incarnation of the legendary Super Saiyan, Kale has difficulty controlling his powers, tends to go crazy and lose himself to his rage. Caulifla was the only one who could reach her in these moments, but her sheer power made her a dangerous opponent in the Tournament of Power.
As noted above, Kale merged with Caulifla using the Potara earrings to create Kefla, and the fusion was able to better control the immense power that Kale wielded. Kale isn't quite as battle-ready as Caulifla, but the raw power she has is incalculable.
8 hits strong enough to change time
First appearance: “The match begins! We all go to ‘The Nameless Planet!'”
Another opponent from Universe 6, Hit is more of an assassin than a fighter. The secret to Hit's success is his ability to ignore time, allowing him to jump forward for 1/10th of a second. That might not sound like much, but it makes his moves extremely unpredictable, giving him openings that other fighters won't be able to take advantage of. This ability also improves during his combat, soon allowing him to pause time, however briefly, making it nearly impossible for him to land a blow.
Hit was able to confront Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue form when activating his Kaioken technique and maintained his power for quite some time, bringing his power to extremely high levels.. Hit's strength lies not in raw strength but in technique, so his time bending ability is extremely valuable.
The Top 7 hold the power of the destroyer
First appearance: “Even the Gods of the Universe are terrified?! The Tournament of Power failed and perished.”
Leader of the Pride Troopers, a justice organization
Coming from Universe 11 is Top, a mortal who is about to become the God of Destruction for his universe. As a result, Top uses the Destroyer's powers, making him an extremely dangerous opponent. The leader of the Pride Troopers, an organization of justice, Top sees things in a very black and white way, constantly talking about justice. Of course, as Universe 11's situation becomes more desperate, Top begins to abandon his ideals in favor of survival.
Like Goku and Vegeta, Top was trained by the Destroyer of the Universe and fights at a level that few other fighters can compete with. He was able to fight off Android 17 and Gohan at the same time, and even fought Goku at Super Saiyan Blue using Kaioken, albeit only for a short time. His divine power makes Top a real threat to other universes in the Tournament of Power.
6. Goku Black has achieved the divine Super Saiyan state
First appearance: “SOS from the future: A dark new enemy appears!”
Goku Black is not Goku at all; rather, he is the North Kai of Universe 10, Zamasu, who stole Goku's body and powers. With the goal of destroying all mortals, Goku Black heads to the alternate timeline where Future Trunks is. and begins destroying life wherever he can find it. Goku Black was able to develop a Super Saiyan technique on his own, called Super Saiyan Rosé, which was only possible thanks to his inherently divine nature.
Goku Black has incredible power at his disposal, being able to fight both Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue and even Trunks. He would eventually merge with an alternate version of Zamasu, granting him more power, and would ultimately only be defeated by the intervention of the most powerful being in the multiverse, Zeno.
5 Jiren is one of the strongest people of the multiverse
First appearance: “Universes Go into Action – Each Universe Has Its Own Motivation”
Jiren is another competitor in the Tournament of Power, coming from Universe 11 like Top. Despite Top's God of Destruction abilities, Jiren is still considered stronger. As a person of few words, Jiren did not coordinate much with his teammates and spent the beginning of the Tournament of Power simply sitting in placewaiting for someone to make a stupid decision to challenge me.
Jiren pushes Goku to his absolute limit, causing him to discover his Ultra Instinct abilities for the first time. He single-handedly quelled Kale's insane rage. Jiren proves to be an absurdly difficult opponent, ultimately only defeated by the combined efforts of Android 17, Frieza, and Goku.
4 Broly is the legendary Super Saiyan
First appearance: Dragon Ball Super: Broly
Broly doesn't appear in the Dragon Ball Super series but only in the sequel film, but he absolutely deserves a mention. As the legendary Super Saiyan of Universe 7, Broly has nearly limitless power at his disposal and seems to grow stronger at every turn. Broly was tricked by Frieza into fighting Goku and Vegeta, but after they defeated him, Goku befriended Broly and he became a recurring character in the Dragon Ball Super manga.
Broly has access to the frenzied Legendary Super Saiyan form, thanks to which he can fight almost on equal terms with the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta, even in his Super Saiyan Blue state. Broly also has no problem keeping up with Frieza in his Golden Frieza form.
3 Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction
First appearance: Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (film), “Peacetime reward: Who gets 100,000,000 Zeni?!” (series)
Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7, often accompanied by his Angelic servant, Whis. As the God of Destruction, Beerus possesses the incredible power of the Destroyer, being able to wipe out entire planets with just a finger. Beerus is also an exceptionally well-trained martial artist and always wishes to find the “Super Saiyan God” he has always dreamed of to fight a challenging warrior. Despite his status, Beerus is a surprisingly affable character, as long as good food is available.
Beerus easily defeats Goku even when he is in his Super Saiyan God state, although he is impressed enough with the Saiyan's abilities to take him for training. When fighting against the other destroyers in the manga, Beerus came out on top, withstanding attacks from all the other destroyers to become one of the last two standing.
2 Whis taught Beerus everything he knew
First appearance: Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (film), “Peacetime reward: Who gets 100,000,000 Zeni?!” (series)
Whis is the Angel's servant and Beerus's martial arts instructor. As an angel, Whis is capable of using a divine technique known as Ultra Instinct, making him a particularly difficult opponent for anyone to face. Whis is rarely seen fighting directly, although he often trains Goku and Vegeta by having them try to hit him without him fighting back. In addition to his combat abilities, Whis can turn back time three minutes and transport planet-sized Super Dragon Balls with his staff.
Since he doesn't fight seriously in the series, it's difficult to gauge Whis's strength. However, he was still able to avoid all of Broly's attacks in the movie, providing a distraction while Goku and Vegeta properly fused. However, Beerus' status as a teacher speaks volumes about his abilities and Whis should absolutely not be underestimated.
1 Zeno is the Almighty Ruler of the Multiverse
First appearance: “A final decision! The winner is Beerus? Or Champa?”
As the ruler of all, even divine beings like Beerus and Shin fear facing him.
The Omni-King, Zeno, is the god of the multiverse in Dragon Ball Super and is by far the most powerful being to appear in the series. As the ruler of all, even divine beings like Beerus and Shin are afraid to confront him as he can destroy them instantly. Zeno's childish personality brings a sense of innocence to everything he does, but he still casually plays marbles with entire planets and is considering destroying most of the multiverse before Goku proposes the Tournament. Power.r.
Zeno's sheer power makes him an unassailable force in the Dragon Ball universe. The only person who can match Zeno is his own future counterpart, brought from Future Trunks' timeline to be friends. This makes Zeno definitely the strongest character introduced in the series Super Dragon Balleven if he's not a fighter.
