The first prize is 2 million yen (about 13,200 US dollars), the second prize is 500,000 yen (about 3,300 US dollars), the consolation prize is 100,000 yen (about 660 US dollars). ) and the final prize is 30,000 yen (about 200 USD).
Participants can submit entries using the app until February 15, 11:59 p.m. JST (9:59 a.m. EST). The results will be published on the Mangano website in the summer.
The Mangano app is a collaboration between Shueisha and Hatena’s Shōnen Jump+ manga app. Users can submit original comics on the site and read other users’ submitted comics. The site also only allows positive reviews.
World Maker, the storyboarding app service for Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ publisher, also launched an anime contest on November 1, in which the winning entry will be turned into a film short anime.
