Warning: Major Spoilers for Demon Slayer Anime & Manga With the fourth season scheduled to release in Summer 2024, Demon slayer fans look back at the best parts of the story. On a quest to avenge his murdered family and save his surviving sister Nezuko from life as a demon, Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps. The more he grew, the clearer it became that this might be what he was destined to do.
Demon Slayer became an instant hit among shounen anime fans. Those who only watch the anime and those who have completed the manga series that ended in May 2020 are looking forward to the final part of the series being adapted into animation. The adventures of Tanjiro, Nezuko and their fellow Demon Slayers become more interesting with each one.
Part 10 Tsuzumi Mansion – Introducing Zenitsu & Inosuke
Chapters 20 – 27 & Episodes 11 – 14
As Tanjiro investigates a kidnapping, he meets two other warriors who will become his closest companions in the fight ahead. Zenitsu’s lightning breath is already extremely powerful: the problem is overcoming his extraordinary cowardice. Meanwhile, Inosuke, raised by a wild boar, highly appreciates his own strength, but just doesn’t have the self-control to train it.
The show’s main trio work together brilliantly right off the bat. Tanjiro, in particular, is largely unfazed by the eccentricities of his new friends and is primarily interested in figuring out how they can all work together to defeat the demons in the mansion. His strategy to defeat Kyogai, who controls the mansion’s layout with his drums, demonstrates his prowess in the flexible art of Water Breathing.
Part 9 Asakusa – Muzan’s cruelty is on full display
Chapters 14 – 19 & Episodes 8 – 10
Kibutsuji Muzan makes a horrifying impression in the first episode, slaughtering Tanjiro’s entire family and leaving Nezuko monstrously transformed. However, it was not until later that his truly cruel nature was revealed. The discovery that he masqueraded as a human, with a forgotten wife and daughter, horrifies the audience as well as Tanjiro.
The Asakusa arc also offers real glimmers of hope that the Kamado siblings will find the peace they are fighting for. They fight side by side with Yahaba and Susamaru (with the more surprising point being that such powerful opponents can’t even compare to the worst that Muzan has to offer). Ultimately, Tamayo develops her first hope that Nezuko can do more than learn to control her demonic urges: she can become human again.
8 Final Selection – The first part of Demon Slayer
Chapters 1 – 9 & Episodes 1 – 5
Demon Slayer’s first season is also one of its most memorable. Officially, Tanjiro trains under Urokodaki, a former Hashira who also trained Giyuu. Unofficially, Tanjiro is also taught by the ghosts of Sabito and Makomo, former Urokodaki students killed by demons. The moment Tanjiro proves himself strong enough to complete a year of training, both bringing a smile to Sabito and making him disappear forever, is both exhilarating and touching.
The emotions don’t stop there: Tanjiro carries all his lessons into the final selection exam, a seven-day survival challenge. He even used them to destroy the Demon Hand that killed Sabito and Makomo, avenging their untimely deaths. His journey to becoming a great Demon Hunter began on a very bright note.
Arc 7 Blacksmith Village – The latest Anime Arc impresses
Chapters 98 – 127 & Episodes 45 – 55
The Nichirin Blade is not only one of the coolest swords in anime, but is also absolutely essential to the job of a Demon Slayer. Throughout the film, the swordsmithing village responsible for them is only mentioned, and now Tanjiro is given the rare privilege of visiting in person. Seeing an entire culture based around forging a very specific type of blade (and confirming that Haganezuka is an oddity even among them) is very interesting.
The focus is on Muichirou Tokito, Hashira of the Mist, which packs a lot of development into just a few episodes. The story of him and his brother Yuichirou, two of the most beautiful twins in anime, is the turning point of this arc, ending with Muichirou regaining his memories and overcoming his previous cold and indifferent behavior mine. Combined with the debut of Mitsuri Kanroji’s beautiful and powerful fighting style, and this is a huge arc for Hashira lovers.
6 Hashira Practice – A unique twist on the practice
Chapter 128 – 136
To defeat Muzan’s strongest demons, Tanjiro and company must train with the best Demon Slayers. Before the final battle, they followed Hashira to their favorite training grounds, where top Demon Hunters helped lower ranks improve each of their greatest strengths. It was such an intense training program that it struck fear into the hearts of the entire Corps.
Both the average Demon Slayer and the strongest Hashira learn from each other in this unprecedented Legion-wide training program. From Uzui’s shinobi-inspired endurance training to Gyomei’s muscle-strengthening regimen, we not only learn what it takes to become a Hashira but also get excited about seeing our heroes We overcome challenges.
5 Arc Mount Natagumo – The first tragic villain of the Demon Slayers
Chapters 28 – 44 & Episodes 15 – 21
This arc is the first of the anime to really introduce the idea of its devil being one of the most tragic villains in anime. But first, it maximizes its outstanding horror elements as the Demon Slayer Corps is hunted by terrifying spider demons. Their different powers are difficult to handle alone and nearly impossible to handle together.
The one responsible is revealed to be the smallest, most humble demon, Rui. Cold and cruel to the “family” of demons under his control, he is strong enough to terrorize them and pose insurmountable obstacles for Tanjiro. But as he is about to die, he regains memories of his human life, the source of his longing for his family as a demon, the first of many tearful flashbacks to the demon going to happen.
4 Mugen Train Arc – Highest Grossing Anime Movie Ever
Chapters 55 – 66 & Episodes 27 – 33
Notable for being the first theatrical adaptation of anime, the Mugen Train arc shows just why “stuck on a train” stories remain so popular. The trio, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, and dozens of civilians are trapped on a train by the demon Enmu. They must find a way to escape Enmu’s powerful illusion and take him down before he devours everyone.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train broke box office records upon its first release. It earned the title of one of Studio Ghibli’s best films and became the highest-grossing Japanese film ever made. I don’t know which scene is more memorable: Tanjiro forcing himself to escape the dream of his dead family, or Kyojuro experiencing the greatest battle of his career.
Part 3 Entertainment Area – One of the most fierce battles of the Demon Slayer
Chapters 67 – 97 & Episodes 34 – 44
With a flashy opening (matching Legion’s flashiest Hashira introduction), this one promises adventure right away. The Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, takes Tanjiro and company into Tokyo’s Entertainment District to hunt down a demon targeting young women. When they infiltrate in disguise, the Demon Hunters discover that the threat is greater than they feared.
The film’s focus is on the relationship between Tanjiro and Nezuko as the only surviving siblings of the Kamado family. The villains of this arc, siblings Gyutaro and Daki, represent what they could become if they grew up without a loving and supportive family. As they die, Tanjiro realizes it and sheds tears that help them reaffirm their love for each other in their final moments.
2 Sunrise Countdown Arc – Demon Slayer’s Final Arc
Chapters 184 – 205
The final arc of Demon Slayer ended the manga on a high note. With the Twelve Kizuki gone, Muzan was the last remaining demon, and the remnants of the Demon Slayer Corps sought to outlast him until sunrise to finally destroy him. Muzan cannot be defeated like any other demon, and the struggle just to survive against him while the clock runs is intense.
Muzan being Muzan, he insisted on going out with a malicious bang. Watching the kind and gentle Tanjiro be transformed into a hungry demon was shocking, but one of the common themes of Demon Slayer has always been the inherent strength and resilience of humans in the face of adversity. impossible situation. This time, it’s not just Nezuko who helps Tanjiro: it’s everyone he’s spent time befriending and supporting throughout the series.
1 Infinity Castle Arc – The glorious final battle of the Demon Slayer
Chapters 137 – 183
While the true climax of the Demon Slayer’s story may be Tanjiro’s transformation into a demon, the all-out war with Muzan and his last remaining Kizuki is even more thrilling. The action and heart of the series is what it is best known for, and these chapters deliver both. This easily ranks as one of the most harrowing final battle scenes in the manga. The Hashira are established throughout the series as the strongest force in the Demon Slayer Corps, but as seen with Kyojuro, they are not invulnerable. By the time the sun rises, most of them will fight to the death to protect humanity alongside their companions, with each Demon Slayer’s sacrifice both tragic and glorious.
Demon Slayer has become famous. Each story arc reveals more about the world of demons and the warriors who fight them. With its colorful cast and impressive action sequences, this will remain an enduringly impressive work for both mangaka Koyoharu Gotouge and the Ufotable crew. Demon slayer the best episodes demonstrate what made the series such a huge hit.
