1 Adam By Eve: A surreal and beautiful live action film
Khara
This may be one of the most unique anime movies available on Netflix. The biblical legend of Adam and Eve – the first humans created by God, who lived in paradise but were tricked into disobedience and exiled forever for this transgression – is told through animation and music without dialogue. Fascinating and surreal, it feels more like a dream than a narrative film.
With a runtime of just 58 minutes, this short film was directed by Hibiki Yoshizaki and Nobutaka Yoda, the latter of whom also wrote the script. Although it is not widely known, fans love it for its musical storytelling, beautiful animation, and the clever way it incorporates some live action scenes into the anime. These elements have meaning Adam By Eve is the best anime movie currently streaming on Netflix.
